McGrath Locks & ABUS Now Fire Door Ready
We’re excited to share that the HAMILTON and WINDSOR from McGrath Locks are now officially approved for use on Pacific Doors XT60 fire-rated door sets. In addition, the ABUS AC7436 Door Closer has also been added to Pacific Doors’ approved hardware list.This gives you more flexibility and trusted options when specifying compliant fire door hardware.
This approval provides architects, builders, and installers with greater flexibility and trusted options when specifying compliant fire door hardware. The testing was carried out at a Pacific Doors approved test laboratory, ensuring that these products meet the rigorous requirements of the New Zealand fire door standards.
As part of the testing, McGrath Locks underwent rigorous fire-resistance trials, some of which you can see in the images below. These tests confirm their reliability and durability in critical applications.

We’re also in the process of obtaining approval for McGrath Locks on TB60 door sets, and we will provide updates once this process is complete.
Important note: These approvals do not relate to the fire door panels recently identified as containing asbestos.
